In partnership, Enza Ciurlia-Guy and Karen Mattan were instrumental in establishing the Canadian Tinnitus & Hyperacusis Centre in March of 1997 - the first Centre of its kind in Canada.

Enza Ciurlia-Guy was the first Canadian Audiologist to pursue and receive her certification in the management of Tinnitus and Hyperacusis from the University of Maryland at Balitmore under the direction of Dr. Pawel Jastreboff. She has since initiated the program development and implementation of Tinnitus Retraining Therapy at the Canadian Tinnitus & Hyperacusis Centre. To further enhance her knowledge in tinnitus she has attended conferences including the Fifth International Tinnitus Conference in Portland, Oregon.
Enza Ciurlia-Guy, M.Cl.Sc. received her Masters of Clinical Science degree, in Human Communications Disorders specializing in Audiology, from the University of Western Ontario, in 1987.
She is licensed to practice as an Audiologist through the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario.
Ms. Ciurlia-Guy has been practicing as a clinical audiologist for 20 years. She routinely provides audiological evaluations, tinnitus evaluations, hearing aid assessments, tinnitus instrument fittings and follow-up services.
In addition, as coordinator of an Aural Rehabilitation
program, she has been responsible for facilitating patient-focused
educational workshops on Tinnitus and Living with Hearing Loss.
